Internet@TV op nieuwe Samsung TV's geeft toegang tot Nederlandse Apps

Delft, 23 maart 2010 - Met Internet@TV op de nieuwe televisies van Samsung heeft Nederland het nieuwe teletekst binnen handbereik. Een overzicht van het laatste nieuws kan nu direct haarscherp en volledig in kleur bekeken worden op de nieuwste applicatie van Nu.nl. Ook het weer en verkeer verschijnen met Internet@TV direct op het scherm. Hiervoor selecteer je de applicatie van Buienradar of Fileindex. Wil je het laatste journaal bekijken, dan kan dat via de applicatie van de NOS. Internet@TV van Samsung biedt echter meer dan informatie. Je hebt ook een wereld van entertainment aan je voeten. Via funda.nl kun je vanuit je luie stoel op zoek naar je droomhuis, terwijl je via de Hyves-applicatie de nieuwste Hyves foto's van je vrienden bekijkt of een krabbel achterlaat. Heb je zin in een filmavond? Via de Video on Demand-applicatie van MovieMAX haal je straks de beste films direct naar je toe. Je hoeft er de deur niet meer voor uit.
64 modellen uit de nieuwe line-up televisies van Samsung zijn uitgerust met het nieuwe internetplatform Internet@TV. Daarnaast beschikken alle Samsung Blu-ray spelers en Blu-ray Home Theater Sets over Internet@TV. De TV groeit hiermee uit tot het middelpunt van informatie en entertainment. Zelfs terwijl je televisie kijkt, kun je met Internet@TV de meest uiteenlopende applicaties downloaden en bekijken.

Samsung introduceert kleinste laserprinter ter wereld Delft, maart 2010 - Samsung Electronics, toonaangevend in consumentenelektronica en informatie¬technologie, presenteert met de ML-1665 de kleinste monochrome laserprinter ter wereld. Dankzij de handige ingebouwde functies die met één druk op de knop werken, kunnen gebruikers nu werkelijk intuïtief printen. Ook bevat de printer diverse nieuwe functies om het milieu te sparen. De compactheid, het gebruiksgemak en de milieuvriendelijkheid maken de ML-1665 ideaal voor individuele gebruikers, thuiskantoren en kleine bedrijven. Intuïtieve functiesConsumenten zijn op zoek naar gebruiksgemak. Daarom introduceert Samsung op de printerserie ML-1665 handige functies die met één druk op de knop werken. De Samsung Print Screen-knop laat consumenten snel en gemakkelijk met één knop precies afdrukken wat zij op het scherm van hun pc zien. De printer ondersteunt Samsung's AnyWeb Print software. Hiermee kunnen gebruikers specifieke content van webpagina's selecteren en naar een nieuwe, lege pagina op het pc-scherm slepen om die vervolgens op te slaan of af te drukken. Dankzij AnyWeb Print kunnen gebruikers alleen die informatie afdrukken die ze echt nodig hebben, in plaats van complete webpagina's. Zo gaat er geen onnodige tijd of verbruik van supplies verloren, zoals papier of toner.
Bovendien verstopt Samsung de aan/uitschakelaar niet langer aan de achterzijde van de printer. De nieuwe Soft Power-knop bevindt zich op het bedieningspaneel, zodat de apparaten gemakkelijker aan en uit te zetten zijn. Stijlvol en compact ontworpen voor een moderne levensstijl
De geavanceerde, intuïtieve functies van de ML-1665 zijn stijlvol in het ontwerp van de apparaten geïntegreerd. De nieuwe printer is ideaal voor een bescheiden werkomgeving. De ML-1665 is nog compacter dan eerdere Samsung modellen en daarmee het kleinste model op de markt. Het gestroomlijnde ontwerp is uitgevoerd in stijlvol, chique glanzend zwart met een crèmegrijze finish. Een deksel op de uitvoerlade draagt bij aan het chique uiterlijk en zorgt voor een laag geluidsniveau. Met afdruksnelheden tot 16 pagina's per minuut (ppm) en een eerste pagina die binnen 8,5 seconde verschijnt, biedt de ML-1665 een robuuste kwaliteitsoplossing voor individuele gebruikers die regelmatig afdrukken. "Samsung weet dat gebruikers geen zin hebben om uit te puzzelen hoe hun nieuwe apparatuur werkt", aldus Mildo Meijer, Marketing Director IT Division Benelux van Samsung Electronics. "Bij deze nieuwe printers hebben wij een groot aantal functies ingebouwd in een stijlvol en compact apparaat om afdrukken eenvoudig en praktisch te maken." Het milieu beschermen en geld besparen
Gebruikers zijn eerder geneigd hun printer uit te zetten als in- en uitschakelen eenvoudig is. De ML-1665 voorkomt zo onnodig energieverbruik en bespaart daarmee tot wel 9,55 Watt per uur¹. Op jaarbasis is dit voldoende energie om een lamp 18 dagen te laten branden. Om het milieu minder te belasten, heeft de ML-1665 minder verpakkingsmateriaal dan de voorgangers. De betrouwbare zwarte tonercartridges voor deze printers zijn goed voor 1500 pagina's van hoge kwaliteit.
